Welcome to this website showcasing some of my latest projects! My art is mostly inspired by nature. Whether it’s the intricate patterns on a tree bark, reflections on a lake, or wildflower fields, there’s plenty of inspiration to be found on local hikes or far away travels. I enjoy experimenting with natural shapes, textures, mediums and techniques to create unique works of art. These include paintings on silk, canvas, ceramics and silver jewelry.
My latest creative outlet is hand painting silk scarves with acid dyes and natural indigo. Multiple steps such as hand painting, various resist techniques, over dyeing etc,. are used and the final piece may have several layers of work. The designs have an organic nature to them and no two pieces are ever the same. Sometimes jewelry can be made to match as well.
I often sell some of my artwork to raise funds for local nonprofits. They make exclusive gifts for the special people in your life, or for yourself.
